Golden Seal contains alkaloids (especially hydrastine and berberine) and other phytochemicals. Golden Seal 1:3 contains a minimum of 8.0 mg/mL of both hydrastine and berberine to ensure optimal strength and quality. The substances in Golden Seal, particularly these alkaloids, work together to:
assist in maintaining healthy breathing passages to support free and clear breathing help maintain healthy mucous membranes cleanse the gastrointestinal tract help maintain healthy mucus function stimulate digestion support the normal production and flow of bile help support the body's response to environmental stress ∆
Caution: Contraindicated in pregnancy, lactation and patients with high blood pressure.
